Avaada Foundation has strengthened green cover through large-scale tree plantation drives, creating mini forests and green belts across project locations. Nearly 1.8 lakh trees have been planted using native species and the Miyawaki method, supporting biodiversity, soil conservation, and carbon sequestration while remaining compatible with solar infrastructure. Community and employee participation is promoted through initiatives such as Avaada Harit Yogdaan and the Own a Tree programme.

Avaada Group – Sustainable Tree Plantation & Environmental Stewardship Drives
At Avaada, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and tree plantation is a key pillar of our environmental stewardship. Our plantation initiatives focus on enhancing ecological balance by preserving soil, sequestering carbon, and supporting local biodiversity. We develop green belts around our project boundaries, with carefully chosen species such as flowering trees, medicinal plants, herbs, and shrubs that do not interfere with solar infrastructure.
To maximize ecological impact, Avaada has adopted the Miyawaki method for planting native species, ensuring rapid growth and the creation of dense green canopies in a short time. We consciously avoid pesticides, promote eco-friendly practices, and focus on native species with high carbon sequestration potential, thereby achieving higher sapling survival rates and long-term environmental benefits. Plantation drives are also organized on special occasions such as World Environment Day, reinforcing our commitment to a greener tomorrow. Alongside group-level efforts, Avaada Foundation—the CSR arm of the Group—has launched several impactful community and employee-led initiatives under its sustainable environmental programs: Avaada Harit Yogdaan – an employee engagement program where employees contribute monetarily to develop green belts around project sites.
Own a Tree Initiative – launched at Banda, Dhamangaon, and Pangaon, where employees take ownership of fruit-bearing plants and nurture them over three years, ensuring long-term sustainability. Community Plantation Drives – extending plantation activities beyond project sites into surrounding villages, such as planting over 2,500 Khejri saplings at Kuchor Village (Badanu Site, Bikaner, Rajasthan) on Gausala land, thereby enhancing green cover and fostering socio-cultural and environmental awareness. Through these integrated efforts, Avaada Group and Avaada Foundation are not only restoring ecological balance but also inspiring communities and employees to actively participate in building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future.
“Hug a tree” Campaign
Conceived and passionately driven by our Chairman, Shri Vineet Mittal Ji, the “Hug a Tree” initiative encourages children and communities to adopt and nurture saplings as their own. Avaada Foundation distributes fruit-bearing and medicinal plants such as Amla, Mango, Guava, Moringa, Lemon, Jamun, Neem, and Jackfruit, ensuring both nutritional and ecological benefits.
Participants care for these trees over 3–5 years, and their efforts are recognized with monetary rewards based on plant growth. This program has become one of Avaada Foundation’s most impactful environmental initiatives, fostering a healthier community and a greener future.
Creating Greener, Sustainable Communities
Environmental sustainability and conservation are key priorities of Avaada Foundation’s CSR initiatives, driven through our flagship plantation initiative, ‘Avaada Taru Srijan’. we have created sustainable green landscapes across 7 states and 40+ villages, strengthening biodiversity, soil health, carbon sequestration and climate resilience. Our plantation programmes maintain an encouraging 80–85% survival rate through scientific plantation practices and community participation.
Scientific Plantation for Lasting Impact
Through our Own a Tree Initiative, employees support the plantation and nurturing of fruit-bearing trees. Our scientifically managed Date Palm plantation at Nokhada, Bikaner, has achieved 100% survival. Miyawaki plantations, native species such as Neem, Peepal, Arjun and Khejri, along with drip irrigation, farm ponds, borewells, geo-tagging and regular survival monitoring, make our plantation programmes resource-efficient and sustainable.
Growing Green Landscapes Across India
Across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Avaada Foundation has developed green belts covering 200+ acres and planted over 1,15,000 native and climate-resilient saplings. Species are selected according to local agro-climatic conditions to restore degraded land, reduce soil erosion, improve air quality and create long-term environmental assets.
Communities at the Heart of Conservation
Through campaigns such as “Hug a Tree,” “Ek Paudh Maa Ke Naam” and “Har Ghar Kheti Bagbani,” Avaada Foundation engages school children, teachers, employees, families and local communities in plantation and environmental awareness. With the message “Go Green, Save Trees,” we are nurturing a culture of collective responsibility for a greener and more sustainable future.
