Chairman

Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group is a serial entrepreneur who has built multiple large-scale businesses. After creating successful ventures in the BPO and IT space, he floated Welspun Energy in 2010, becoming India’s largest renewable energy company with an installed base of 1.2 GW and in 2016, the platform was monetized successfully with the sale to Tata Power at a US $1.4 bn valuation. The Thermal power business of the group was also sold successfully to Adani Group.


He is a strong proponent of advancing sustainability through robust business models also he has been actively advocating the concepts of Community Development Certificates (CDC) and Grow Forest Certificates (GFC) with the governments he developed. Both the instruments target creating a marketplace for achieving sustainability objectives of increasing forest cover and developing social infrastructure in terms of healthcare access, education, and so on through a strong incentive mechanism.


He is a regular speaker on clean energy transition at important national and international events. A leading and influential industry voice, he is a regular invitee in all policy consultations by bodies like Niti Aayog, Ministries and Govt. departments, etc.

Mrs. Sindoor Mittal

Vice Chairperson

As a Vice Chairperson of Avaada Group, Mrs. Mittal is responsible for strategy and leadership development. Apart from her business responsibilities, she is keenly involved in the company’s sustainability endeavour.


She started her career by working with a $500mn private equity fund and then proceeding to be an entrepreneur.


She was instrumental in setting up Welspun Energy’s initial solar portfolio, at a time when few companies were in the business.


She spearheaded equity fund raising by bringing on board institutional investors like ADB, DEG and GE. Thereafter, she successfully handled the sale of the organisation’s ~1140 MW renewable portfolio to Tata Power.

Mr. Vinoo George is a seasoned professional with over four decades of experience and has been involved in procurement, project execution, international business development and setting up of the manufacturing business in Avaada Group including vendor selection, technology selection, manufacturing setup, product quality, supply chain, and material procurement. He has set high standards for sourcing and supply chain management, ensuring the timely commissioning of solar projects. He is working with cross-functional teams to support Avaada’s mission towards sustainable and self-reliant energy solutions.

Mr. Prashant Choubey

Director
Mr. Prashant Choubey, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and Delhi College of Engineering, is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience. He currently leads Business Development as the President at Avaada Group. He brings a wealth of expertise in managing national and international business development across South & Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US, specifically within the solar, renewables, hydro, and green hydrogen/green ammonia sectors.

Mr. Nawal Saini

Director

Nawal Saini is a Managing Partner in Brookfield’s Energy Group. In this role, he leads the group’s business in South Asia and the Middle East.


Prior to joining Brookfield in 2018, Mr. Saini focused on renewables for infrastructure investment teams at CDPQ and JP Morgan. He also worked at Jacob Ballas, a New York Life-anchored private equity fund in India, and as a banker with ABN Amro Bank and SBI Capital Markets.


Mr. Saini holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon and a Bachelor of Science degree from Delhi University.

Mr. Prakashchandra Khulbe

Prakashchandra Khulbe is a with over 17 years of post-qualification experience in corporate governance, secretarial compliance, corporate restructuring, legal and regulatory matters and strategic corporate transactions. Over the course of his career, he has been actively involved in corporate restructuring and reorganisation initiatives, including mergers, amalgamations, corporate conversions, and other strategic transactions. He has also played a key role in joint venture transactions involving the induction of foreign partners, coordinating legal, regulatory, corporate and secretarial aspects of such strategic partnerships.
