A distinguished NIT engineer and Harvard Business School alumnus, Vineet Mittal has earned global recognition for his groundbreaking contributions to green energy and digital transformation. In 2022, Avaada achieved a historic milestone—building the one of the world’s largest single-site solar project by a private IPP of 1.25 GWp capacity in Rajasthan.
Beyond business, Mr. Mittal is a recognized thought leader in global climate action. As a World Economic Forum member, he has played a key role in shaping sustainable policies worldwide. He previously served as Co-Chair of the B20 Task Force on Energy, Climate Change, and Resource Efficiency, and currently chairs the CII Sub-Committee on Hydrogen Usage and Standards, championing India’s leadership in the clean hydrogen economy.
In 2025, the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, conferred an honorary Ph.D. upon Mr. Mittal in recognition of his pathbreaking contributions to renewable energy, sustainability and technological innovation.
Vineet Mittal’s journey is a story of vision, innovation, and resilience. In his early career, he was among the pioneering minds at a leading telecom company, helping launch Internet access in India. A trailblazer in the dot-com, BPO, and renewable energy sectors, his entrepreneurial spirit has continuously driven industries forward. His groundbreaking work has earned him numerous accolades, including twice the “Solar Man of the Year” award.
Inspired by the five core elements of Ayurveda—ether, air, fire, water, and earth—Mr. Mittal envisions Avaada as an extension of nature’s bounty, where technology and tradition converge to build a self-sustaining future for generations to come.
For Mr. Mittal, leadership is a calling, not just a profession. His philosophy of “People Before Profits” ensures that business success is measured not just in numbers but in societal impact. Beyond boardrooms, Mr. Mittal remains deeply committed to nation-building. Through the Avaada Foundation, he personally oversees philanthropic initiatives across 15 states in India, addressing critical issues in education, healthcare, and rural empowerment.

Sindoor Mittal is the Vice Chairperson of Avaada Group, one of India’s foremost clean energy and energy transition companies. A dynamic leader at the forefront of India’s Net Zero ambition, she drives the Group’s strategy, investor relations, and organizational transformation, with a strong focus on building agile, future-ready teams.
A graduate of the Indian School of Business (ISB-Hyderabad) and Stanford Graduate School of Business, Sindoor blends global insight with grounded execution. Her leadership has been instrumental in securing investments from marquee global institutions including Brookfield Renewable, Asian Development Bank, Proparco, and Thailand’s PTT Group — affirming Avaada’s position as a trusted partner in global climate solutions.
Before co-founding Avaada, Sindoor led the solar vertical at Welspun Energy, where she oversaw the development and eventual exit of a ~1140 MW portfolio in a landmark transaction with Tata Power — one of India’s largest renewable energy deals at the time.
Sindoor is equally passionate about social impact. Through the Avaada Foundation, she champions initiatives in girls’ education, community upliftment, and inclusive development — believing that true progress must empower both people and the planet.
Beyond the boardroom, Sindoor is a national-level pickleball champion, representing India on international platforms, and is deeply invested in wellness, longevity, and peak performance.

T.R. Kishor Nair is a veteran of in the energy sector, with more than four decades of unparalleled experience in Business Development, Project Management, and Strategic Planning for both domestic and international energy projects.
As one of Avaada’s early member, Mr. Nair has been with Avaada Group since its inception. He is presently the CEO of Avaada Energy, the renewable energy arm of the group. Under his leadership, Avaada Energy has grown significantly and achieved an operational capacity greater than 6 GW in just over seven years. With an additional 20 GW project under implementation, Avaada Energy is well poised to achieve its targets of 11GW by 2026 and 30 GW by 2030.
Mr. Nair’s expertise has been instrumental in driving policy advocacy and raising industry concerns with both State and Federal Government for the renewable energy sector. He has extended his influence beyond the domestic market by representing the industry at many international business delegations and speaking at many domestic and international events. He has officiated as co-chair of the Renewable energy council of ASSOCHAM and Co-Chair of the FICCI Renewable Energy Developers Task Force.
Prior joining Avaada Group, he had led major infrastructure projects with distinguished firms like NTPC, Bechtel, Reliance, and Welspun Energy, each leaders in infrastructure sector. He also provided strong leadership to the EPC division of Reliance Power in Bagging and executing various Mega power projects including UMPPs on a Turnkey basis. These projects created new benchmarks in the power industry for cost leadership and fast-track execution. Throughout his tenure in Bechtel, he carries significant international experience in Project Management in various business lines such as Power, Mining & Metals, and Petrochemicals.
Mr. Nair started his career with NTPC in the year 1984 and was involved in project management of coal and gas-based thermal power projects and of EHV & HVDC transmission lines.
Mr. Nair is widely recognized in the power industry, with diverse experience in the development and execution of many complex projects, ranging from supercritical to mega and Ultra mega projects under challenging time constraints and environmental challenges.
Mr. Vinoo George, a seasoned professional with over four decades of experience, heads the Manufacturing vertical as President at Avaada Group. His industry experience spans across diverse verticals like Manufacturing, Project Management, Sourcing, and International Business Development. He has been instrumental in the organization’s growth journey.
Mr. George is an unparalleled expert in building pipelines and developing large-scale projects and has been well-equipped in building strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring access to the best materials and technologies available. He oversees all aspects of the manufacturing operation, including vendor selection, technology selection, manufacturing setup, product quality, supply chain, and material procurement. He has set high standards for sourcing and supply chain management, ensuring the timely commissioning of solar and wind projects.
Prior to joining Avaada Group, he was associated with BHEL and Reliance Infrastructure. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Madras University.
Lalit Sharma is a highly experienced procurement professional with a career spanning over three decades, characterized by his expertise and strategic prowess in sectors such as Refinery, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, Telecommunication, and Consumer Business. He has successfully led large-scale projects and managed procurement operations, contracts, and project execution for renowned organizations like Reliance Industries Limited, Oswal Chemicals & Fertilizers, and Engineers India Limited.
In his previous role as Senior Vice President and Head of Procurement & Contracts for RIL’s consumer business, Mr. Sharma played a pivotal role in the nationwide expansion of retail initiatives, contributing significantly to the segment’s remarkable growth.
Renowned for his commitment to corporate governance and delivering sustainable growth, Mr. Sharma is valued for his ability to cultivate strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, underpinned by his professional demeanor.
He holds a B. Tech degree with distinction from Punjab University Chandigarh and a PG Diploma in Financial Management from IMT Ghaziabad.
Ms. Radha MS is leading the Procurement team as President at Avaada Group. Working across length and breadth to devise fruitful sourcing strategies, she has been instrumental in keeping the operations running smoothly.
With her rich experience spanning four decades in Design Engineering, Procurement, and Engineering Management, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and an unwavering commitment to excellence through her expertise. Her strong expertise in Power System Control, Protection, & SCADA has helped organizations navigate complex challenges.
Ms. Radha has presented numerous case studies/ papers related to Power Systems Protection at various events organized by institutions such as NTPC, CEA, CBIP, and others.
Prior to Avaada Group, she has worked with HCC Infrastructure, Reliance Power Limited, NTPC Ltd., and Hindustan Aeronautical Limited. She has successfully performed the role of lead engineer across various NTPC projects, including consultancy.
An IIT Mumbai Alumni, she holds a postgraduate degree in Power Systems Engineering.
Mr. Prashant Choubey is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years of diversified experience across renewable energy, green hydrogen/green ammonia, C&I business, business development and Human resources. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and Delhi College of Engineering, he currently serves as President – Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia at Avaada Group, where he spearheads the company’s global green molecules strategy and business development.
He has led critical initiatives across energy transition, sustainability strategy, green hydrogen and green ammonia development, government and regulatory affairs, strategic HR, employer branding, and organization building. His leadership has been pivotal in shaping Avaada’s multi-state green hydrogen and green ammonia project pipeline, while strengthening the Group’s position as a trusted partner delivering sustainable, reliable renewable energy solutions to leading national and global corporations.
Under his stewardship, Avaada Group has received multiple industry recognitions, including being listed among the Top 50 Best Companies to Work for by The Times of India–Ascent and among the Top 10 Solar Companies in India etc.
Recognized as a distinguished voice in the clean energy sector, Mr. Choubey actively contributes to shaping dialogue on energy transition. He has delivered keynote speeches and presentations on renewables and green hydrogen at influential forums both in India and abroad spanning UAE, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, USA, Vietnam, Japan, and beyond. His experience and expertise is often leveraged by government institutions, and he regularly accompanies official delegations abroad—advancing India’s renewable leadership.
Before joining Avaada, he held positions at NHPC Limited (Govt. of India) and Reliance Infrastructure Limited. His early excellence was recognized with the Young Engineer Award (2001) from the Central Board of Irrigation and Power, Government of India.
With a blend of strategic foresight, policy insight, and people-centric leadership, Mr. Choubey continues to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy transformation and the global sustainability agenda.
With an illustrious career spanning over 38 years, Mr. Gulab Singh stands as a highly respected leader in the renewable energy sector. As Head of Projects at Avaada Group, he has earned a reputation as a master for his exceptional ability to deliver large-scale projects ahead of schedule, while maintaining stringent quality and EHS standards.
Mr. Gulab possesses a unique talent for uniting diverse teams across engineering, procurement, and construction, driving them to collaborate seamlessly and achieve outstanding results. His leadership style is characterized by a firm belief in empowering his teams, fostering both organizational success and individual growth.
His extensive experience spans across project management and construction of thermal power plants, cross-country pipelines, refineries, petrochemical plants, and solar projects, both within India and abroad. Mr. Gulab’s strategic insight and operational capabilities ensure the flawless execution of projects from concept to commissioning.
Mr. Gulab has started his carrier with NTPC and later joined Engineers India Limited. Before joining Avaada Group, Mr. Gulab held leadership positions at some of the industry’s most respected organizations, including Sterling and Wilson Renewables, ACME Solar, Welspun Energy, Reliance Power, and Reliance Industries. He holds an Electrical Engineer Degree from MITS Gwalior.
Ms. Jyoti Mistry heads the Secretarial and Compliance functions as Senior Vice President at Avaada Group and is responsible for secretarial and overall compliance.
She is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, done her graduation in Law from Jitendra Chauhan College, and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
She has over 24 years of experience in secretarial and overall compliances of the Company and worked earlier with various other sectors like Manufacturing, IT-enabled services, etc.
Mr. Deepak Agrawala heads the Equity financing & Investor Relations function as Senior Executive Vice President at Avaada Group. He also leads the international business development and strategy for Green hydrogen and its derivatives.
With over 23 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Agrawala is an unparalleled expert in Institutional Equities, Investment Banking, Fundraising, and Consulting.
Prior to joining Avaada Group, Deepak boasts an impressive track record of over two decades working for top-tier companies such as, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Ernst and Young, CRISIL, Elara Capital and Bajaj Auto Ltd. He has been actively involved in transactions involving raising ~ US$ 11bn of capital by successfully advising corporates spanning across multiple sectors.
He is involved extensively in building global relationships, policy advocacy and represents Avaada in domestic and global conferences on Energy Transition, several industry forums like Clean Fuel Ammonia Association (Japan), Hydrogen Council (Global), CII India Korea Business Council, India-Japan Business Cooperation Committee, FICCI’s India Renewable Energy CFO Taskforce, United Nations’ COP events etc.
He completed Mechanical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, and a Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI. He has earned his MBA from IIM Lucknow. He is also qualified as an Independent Director by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
